Not at all condoning the practice of throwing names at people. I thot of doing a series of introduction on some 'heroes' in the world of Christian theology. Football fans go ga-ga over their heroes like Giggs or Rooney, right? So freaks like me follow the progress of big shots like William Lane Craig above.
OK, he's a consummate philosopher who takes on atheists, jesus seminar folks etc. in live debates. And people tend to flock to them because of the sense of fair play... both sides are represented instead of one.
In our Msian context, 'interfaith dialogues' usually become a platform for dakwah instead of a forum for bridge-building, mutual understanding and 'stepping into the shoes of the Other'. In times like these, I wish we have someone like him.
