A fren, doing his doctorate in UK, shared how he met many Muslim students in the seminary, doing their PHD in Christian studies!
Why in the world would they do that? I mean, recently Singapore offered a full scholarship to do a Phd in Syariah Law and not a single Christian took it up.
What's wrong with these people? Or, better, what's wrong with us?
Well, they will probably come back to Malaysia and continue to outgun us at every interfaith forum. They are probably gonna publish stuffs that will send us scurrying to look for some reactionary, knee-jerk response.
We shared this in the last Agora discussion... "The problem now is not that we think too much, we dun think enuff"... Ps Wong seems determined to do something abt it.
We need more people with PHD, surely. Better still, we need to raise up pockets of Christians all over the country who are determined to think after God's thots, and try to connect them with the questions our neighbors are asking.
But if you do know people interested to major in other religions, please feel free to click on the envelope at the end of this post... and forward it?
