Wedding Best Practices

After seeing so many weddings, the consultant in me decided to collect all the industry best practices. And the Oscar goes to...

The Most Efficient Process-
Cousin A had his wedding ceremony in the morning, a luncheon follows in the same hotel and the couple takes a night flight for honeymoon later in the evening.

The Best Wedding Singer/Bestman -
Jasper and Esther's wedding would be forever remembered for the excellent 'live' rendition of Rod Stewart's "Have I Told You lately that I Love You?"

The Highest Profit -
Cousin B in Ipoh made a net profit of RM 10,000 plus from the angpow collection. He's an accountant.

The Most Moving Parents' Speech -
Allen's Dad shared about how filial our Chewbacca was during his younger days. He was supportive of his siblings becoming Christians but would not follow suit himself so that he can help with the incense at home, as sign of respect for his Dad.

The Best Door Gift -
Cousin C gave every guest an elegant purple-tinted, glass apple.

The Best 'Yam Seng' Teamwork -
Commitment of the Koinonia entourage during Terry & Mei Hsien's toast marathon.

The Most Romantic Kiss -
According to some sources, Kuen Li and hubby won this award for a gentle, dove-like peck.

One cannot aspire to greatness unless you have a goal, and you have provided such a goal to me!

One addition... Longest lunch would probably go to my sister's wedding. Lunch was from noon till 5+pm. Those French folk sure know how to take their time and stretch out a 10 course lunch.
