Some years back i got to know an online friend who overcame homosexual tendencies through Pursuing Liberty Under Christ ministry. Asian Beacon carries an article on this frontline ministry here. Here's an excerpt:
"PLUC encourage, invite and help people to get these four essential steps in place in order to walk out from the struggle:
Step 1 – awareness process (to see their counsellor for self searching and to look for the root causes of the problem)
Step 2 – healing process (to see their pastors for healing, prayer and spiritual guidance)
Step 3 – learning process (to participate in support groups for peer mentoring and to study the biblical teaching on sexuality)
Step 4 – recovery process (to reconcile with their parents, spouses or friends for healthy relationships and encouragement)
We will not enforce changes on them or forcibly prescribe therapy for them. Transformation is the work of Holy Spirit. They must cooperate with God and partner with Him to pursue recovery. PLUC will just remain faithful in carrying out our responsibilities as a caregiver and journeying with them as long as we are needed."
