During the National Conference on integrity, I came to know about OHMSI, Oriental Heart and Mind Study Institute, a group of Malaysians who "reflect, share, and exchange thoughts on core issues of mutual interest in the public space of Malaysian life."
Some objectives:
To stand up for issues of public interest and be willing to articulate views on behalf of the affected Malaysian communities
To mobilise at the community-level to support or initiate action on the specific issues of mutual concern
Sounds like fun to me!
Guess what? We just came up with the brilliant idea that corruption is a sin after all. Bob thought it was "bloody time" the religious community in Msia spoke up against corruption.
So, boys and gals, do your bit and sign the
Pledge Against Corruption
As u may know Bob and I are in the Internet team of iBridge so it's with great pleasure to introduce...
a special ministry that builds “close community” (pilgrims on a journey), in an atmosphere of honesty and trust, where we meet and pray with one another, Covenant Pledge, “drop-in” visitors are not encouraged... (commitment is required to build authentic community)
The Headstart registration for 2006 intake is open now.
What is Headstart?
- Small group networking to connect lives in transition
- Spiritual friendships to cultivate praying partners and
- Mentoring to create lifelong disciples.
We would be pleased if you could refer this to as many graduates as possible (and those who have been in the marketplace for 1-2 years or even those who are not working but they are graduates) and do invite them to be a part of this community.
If you have further enquiries about the ministry or be a part of this group, please do not hesitate to call Cow Yuan at 012-3920679 or Sui-Jade at suijade@gmail.com
(PS: I must 'tabik' James Daniel and Yoke Yeow for being so visionary to practice these concepts about open conversations and community in Msia YEARS before all the buzz from US discovered/promoted them)
