KVBC 2006

Klang Valley Bible Conference did a fantastic job getting Don Carson for an expository preaching session on Revelations some time back... This time they outdid themselves again by getting Chris Wright to Malaysia...(there are two Wrights in UK, Tom Wright majors in NT while Chris Wright majors in OT)

A not-to-be-missed event, I promise you'd NEVER look at Old Testament the same way again...

Living as God's People for the sake of God's World: Expositions of Deuternomy

26/9/06 Deuteronomy 4:1-40 The Responsibility of Knowing God

27/9/06 Deuteronomy 6:1-25 The Demands of Loving God

28/9/06 Deuteronomy 26:1-19 The Celebration of Covenanting with God

Welcome to the heartbeat of the Old Testament – the book of Deuteronomy!

Deuteronomy is a book for a people on the move, presenting a message from a God on the move. It challenges God’s people to remain loyal to the living God in the midst of changing cultural and religious contexts. It motivates them to love God above all else, for the sake of the nations of God’s world. It calls them to live by social, economic and political standards that would make them different, a witness to the nations. And it celebrates the joys as well as the demands of being in covenant relationship with God.

It is also a big book and we can only scratch the surface, but Chris Wright will bring it to life in its remarkable contemporary relevance to the church’s life and mission.
