Unbelief Under Jolly Choruses

Peter Rowan gave a memorable sermon on the life of Prophet Jeremiah, laying out five key features of this servant of the Lord that we can learn from. Jeremiah was a man of robust spirituality, who felt free to talk to God about anything - inc. the lamentations, tears, complaints, wails of anger etc. (like the Psalmists).

“it is those who suppress their doubts under a litany of jolly choruses who may well be guilty of unbelief: for they refuse to believe that God can handle their rage.” (Vinoth Ramachandra).

I hope the rest of the sermon slides would provide much food for thots.
