Lt. Hunter's Skull Squadron Fighter. Rick is a reluctant soldier, literally dragged into an intergalactic war by accident. I have a soft spot for heroes who fight not because they wanna, but because they have to. If I can create my own truth, I'd be a universalist - Osama and Mother Teresa end up in heaven together. But I didn't create the universe... so I dun get to make the rules. And well, would I really want a heaven like that?

Nice Robotech tie-in, or should I also say Macross tie-in. You should also take look into the Evangelion series, not for the Christian symbolism, but to discover like the protagonist that you can indeed your own truth.

Roy Fokker is Rick's big brother/mentor, ya.. hehe, i havent watched the Evangelion series yet. i should. The word means the good news, or the gospel, that's pretty overt symbolism
