Recently we got news that a local Mandarin-speaking pastor appeared in Chinese daily, sharing about his sex change experience... It's a well-known church in Klang Valley.
Surprisingly, there is no 'righteous anger' from the Christian community. Only whispers... desas-desus... I wonder if any conscientious person wrote in to set the record 'straight' (ehem) in a respectful and intelligent manner.
Perhaps we are now enlightened folks, who love the unity of the Body. Our understanding of grace has eliminated the need for church discipline and outward purity. Far be it from us, NT Christians, to judge our male pastor who decided to be female and stay in office!
Are we finally moving to the promised land where in the name of love and unity we draw no moral or theological boundaries? It is here that J Gresham Machen, for all his flaws, has much to teach us!
