Norah Jones

Took John's advice to get Norah Jones' "Come Away" album. It was beautiful... just nice for getting off work, and listen to something soft.

Come away with me in the night
Come away with me
And I will write you a song

Come away with me on a bus
Come away where they can't tempt us
With their lies

I want to walk with you
On a cloudy day
In fields where the yellow grass grows knee-high
So won't you try to come

Come away with me and we'll kiss
On a mountaintop
Come away with me
And I'll never stop loving you

And I want to wake up with the rain
Falling on a tin roof
While I'm safe there in your arms
So all I ask is for you
To come away with me in the night
Come away with me

Hello! Norah's a gem in the forlorn music industry. Hehe. Truly, a great album this is. It even inspired me to paint, using excerpts of her lyrics- "I wanna wake up with the rain, falling on the tin roof", I'd rather climb the swirling skies to be with you.." I can go on and on gushing over this:) Anyway, since you've treaded on 'dangerous' grounds, maybe you can even 'upgrade' yourself to the listening ranks of Diana Krall, Lisa Ono and even David Tao's first album.(though you may not understand Chinese). Enjoy!

Hey! David Tao is one of my fav Chinese singers lar...
In fact, I play to do a rendition of 'Liu Sa' at the Red Box tomorrow hahaah! It's meaningful to me cos'...

A girl once gave me a guitar, requesting that I sing her this song... heheh, i didn't till it's too late.

But thanks, next stop... Diana Krall. Lisa Ono, is she the one who did covers for True Colors and a handful of other hits?

Ooh, well; just make sure you don't miss the next opportunity to belt out a David Tao hit to your potential spouse next time... just don't do it ala Aerosmith!:) Lisa Ono and true Colors? Not very sure about that, but I would recommend you Bossa Hula Nova, her concoction of jazz and hawaiian music which would send you jiggling on your living room (cinapek style, perhaps?:))Diana Krall- truly a classical jazz singer, you just gotta listen to it to know how good she is. My recommendation- Live in Paris and All for you. Warning: I may be recommending you music that is too lullaby-ish for your taste, nevertheless, is perfect for a full-fledged unwinding session after beating the traffic in KL. You may want to check out this sweet young thing called Renee Olstead too. Gosh, I hope I'm not helping you burn a hole in your pocket. But picture this, Desiring God in hand and Diana Krall cooing in the background, what could be more perfect? Ahh, yes; a gorgeous girl reading to you while you drift away...what a fantasy, what a fantasy!
