My Pastors - III

Pastor Aik Khiam was brought up in a family with both Chinese and western values.

He came to follow Jesus while studying in Liverpool, UK. Subsequently he joined the Malaysia Bible Seminary for his theological training, (hey! That's where I'm at!) where he gained the Master in Christian Studies degree. His interest in counselling led him to a diploma in counselling course conducted by De La Salle University of Philippines.

It was also at the Malaysia Bible Seminary that "Ps Aik Khiam met Sally", who was attending the Diploma in Theology course. (wow! What a dream courtship scenario!)

In CDPC, Pr Aik Khiam's main areas of ministry are counselling - as he has the gift to emphatize and provide wise guidance to people in need. He is active in giving pre-marriage counselling, post-marriage enrichment workshops, sex education (abstinence ar) among college students... if u ask me, the family is the backbone of civilisation so unless Christians model what a good family is... we'd not have an apologetics for homosexuality, promiscuity and the plethora of issues relating to the breakdown of the family. Not surprisingly, Ps Aik Khiam is also active in Focus on the Family (Jim Dobson's powerful bastion of conservative values!)

Also, he is the vanguard commander, making sure that behind-the-scenes administration was wel-done. Oh yea, i heard rumors that he and Sally may be able to help nudge "single and available adults" in the right direction, if u ask.

Ahem... biological growth of the church is also important, mar...!
