A lecturer on Islam shared that we could understand each other better if we try to find a 'dynamic equivalence' between our different faiths...

For example, the dynamic equivalent of the Koran is not the Bible, but Jesus...

I've come to see that we have a lot of similarities.

You could find Sufi 'charismatics', modernist liberals, Harley-trotting Indonesian televangelist ala Benny Hinn, 'Osama' reconstructionists, fatwa-issuing fundamentalists, Sister-in-Islam feminists, early morning TV self-help motivators, even Khalid Yassin-type evangelicals, Shah Kirit apologists etc...

hehehe... i've leave it to your imagination to figure out who their christian equivalents are.

Surprise of all surprise...recently I picked up a book in Popular (where u get all sorts of local weirdos putting their pens to papers), and scheming tru found the author, i think a local Muslim saying something about being poor is curse of Satan. hmmm...
