About Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
Solution-focused therapy is a goal directed, future oriented, competency-based therapeutic approach that has been very successful in various setting, including rehabilitation centres, psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centres, child protection agencies, schools and private practices. It has also been used successfully with a variety of presenting problems, including clients with alcohol and/or substance abuse problems, survivors of sexual abuse, family conflict, interpersonal problems and psychological issues.

The participants will be able to learn about the following key areas:
• Theoretical background of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
• Assumptions, philosophy and principles of SFBT
• Skills and techniques in conducting solutions focused interviews: miracle question, exceptions finding question, scaling question, formulating feedback/tasks
• Demonstrations and role plays
