Dr. Steve Tong once commented on the painting pointing to the background where Socrates' wife and kid walked up the stairs silently and solemnly and turning back to catch a glimpse of the glorious death. The one was flanked by many thinkers-disciples, while the other were doomed to go down into history unnoticed, unknown though probably, as they say, it was the wife that makes a philosopher.
