Truth: Stranger Than It Seems

Just came back after fetching Paul Stevens home... Managed to get him as my captive consultant in my car for 45 minutes.

After that, some thoughts floating in my mind about how Agora's vision links up with marketplace theology... There are four areas where 'agora' and theology could meet:

Mysticism (Spirituality)
Meaning (creation, redemption, earthkeeping etc)
Mission (as platform for mission, and as part of missio Dei)
Morality (ethics, bioethics etc)

And how theology can be done from the 'top': Study Scripture and apply it to concrete areas of life. Also, theology can be done from 'bottom': Wrestling thru the issues IN life, like Job, and working out the theological 'meaning' of it.

Truth Is Stranger Than It Seems: Primer On Postmodernism

An overview on postmodernism and the modernism of which it is 'post'.
What are the challenges/opportunities to Christian mission in this brave new world?

Presenter: Dave Chang
Date: 10 Dec 2005 (Sat)

The materials are 'ciplak' from Stuart McAllister, RZIM speaker at Bali. Here is a transcript of his talk on Hope in a Cynical Age

Also found that RZIM India has quite some advanced resources :)

Extra: What would you do if a pastor received 'divine revelation' that those who "reach his level of anointing are allowed to have more than one sexual partner"?
