Due to working people (like myself!) who are interested, MBS considers changing the date to Thurs-Sun (only take 2 days leave). But I need you to lemme know ASAP otherwise they will stick to the original dates above. PLEASE HELP me lobby, ok?
1. Monday: Introduction to atheism, with special reference to Bertrand Russell. Why I am not a Christian? paper. Then I will examine two areas of contact, science and world religions.
2. Tuesday: For science, we will read Richard Swinburne Does God Exist? in which this Christian philosopher of science argues that science offers substantial evidence that God exists.
3. Wednesday: For world religions, we will read 2 chapters of Tennant evangelical encounter with two doctrines of Buddhism in his Christianity at the Religious Roundtable.
4. Thursday: Offer a framework for a Christian apologetic by developing a worldview that engages with the spheres of cultural influence. (Theological analogical authority)
Comprises of three 45-minute lectures, 30 minutes of Discussion and 30 minutes for Question & Answers
You may take it as a credit or audit course. If you are doing audit, i think it's only RM80 (or less). For credit, it's RM240 for a 3-credit course!
